Ah Summer

The months when we all plan to load the family into the wagon and take them for the summer Cabin. The time when we all are planing our summer strategies with the growth of our income in mind. Summer when we are plotting just who else is going to where and what we will do to innocently bump into them by”chance” at the club, Golf Course, Tennis court or boat dock. There is even a few of us who know where their post office box is during the summer months and will plan our PO trips for the accidental but of so potentially profitable meeting.

Ah Summer what joy and relief it brings. Oops, Let us not forget that we need to have junior going to the same camp at the same time as theirs. This summer vacation is an equal opportunity time. Let us not forget our mate and the social calendars they put together with their mates. This is their territory at cookouts at the beach etc, Sitting together at the country club for the Friday night two beat band dance with the ancient trio of the summer playing. If not then think about the clubs all you can eat seafood night where we all can let our hair down and bond over the oversize napkins and anything goes casual dress code.

Ah while we are thinking about the summer let us remember the great bonding that is possible as we wait for hours for the ferry, which always seems to have lost something or other. Also the long time we spend on with our own boat looking for that moorage which will work for us through the night. If the spirit is right we may be able to raft our boat with their boat during the night and have the bonding that comes moving your fenders and tightening your lines together. Long tea times at the club are ok but we all try for the mixed couples matching at the tennis courts for the ultimate contact with them. That is even better then loosing to him on the golf course. Remember a solid game of hearts is ok but stay away from bridge it can kill you. If you are really sharp and good at it you can be made by demonstrating your skills but if you are just ok you will be seen as less then capable in all other ways which rolls over to your business life. Card games during the summer eat their young. If you are a loser there you are a loser everywhere.

Ah Summer to be free of the city! Free of the office! Free of the politics of the social agendas. Ah Summer! Be assured I do understand real life as you live it.
